...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SUNDAY TO 10 AM
* TIMING...10 AM Sunday morning through 10 AM Monday morning.
* WINDS...Southwest late Sunday morning, becoming west to
northwest Sunday afternoon through Monday morning, sustained
25 to 40 mph with gusts around 60 mph. The strongest winds are
most likely for elevations above 1500 feet.
* IMPACTS...There is the potential for downed trees, power
lines, and minor structural damage. Driving high profile
vehicles in these conditions is dangerous. In addition,
saturated ground and the prolonged nature of the winds may
enhance the risk for downed trees.
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
